Volunteering

At ARH, we place a great importance on community and helping others. Giving is one of the '5 Ways to Wellbeing' and is important for our own wellbeing as well as being an excellent thing to do!

As a school, we give our children lots of opportunities to volunteer in school and encourage them to volunteer outside of school too. In school, they can be a Class Champion or a Terrific Transformer to help our school community. You can watch our school assembly launch of volunteering here: https://alderman-richard-hallam.primarysite.media/playlist/volunteering

The Kedzior Award

Each half-term, two children across the school can win our coveted Kedzior Award for their volunteering outside of the school. This can be through helping at home, helping others or volunteering in the community. You can see our winners below!

We are incredibly proud of Emma (Y4), Matei (Nursery) and Emilia-Elena (Y4) for their fantastic volunteering this half-term. They are truly deserving winners of the Kedzior Award - in fact, this is the second time Emilia-Elena has won! They have all been helping out in their local communities, making us proud in the process.

Summer Term 1 2023

We are delighted to announce that our winners this half-term are Siya (Reception) and Kieran (Y2) who have really impressed us with their volunteering out of school. Kieran has been going above and beyond to help his family over the last half-term, even helping to landscape his grandmother’s garden. Siya has been raising money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital and has raised an impressive £1,059 so far!
