Something for the Summer?

Below is a link to some lovely storytelling and music sessions for 0 to 4 years olds by storytellers from The Royal Albert Hall in London. There are 9 x 15-minute episodes with which you can interact through singing, dancing and playing along with your little ones  from the sofa, the bed, the kitchen, the garden - wherever you like! Wherever you are, you're sure to have lots of fun!

In this teaching video you'll get to sing in a light jazzy style and learn a simple beatboxing part to accompany this iconic song from The Jungle Book.

Rhythm Play Express - Cushion Play - Wednesday 29th April 2020

Musical fun with 'Stickman' - sing, dance and jam along. Bring a teddy, a cup, a sponge and a ball and get ready to tell a story on cushion mountain! If you missed the 11am live session, don't worry, you can watch back and take part when you can.

Wednesday 22nd April 2020 - Rhythm Play Express - Paper Play

Rhythm Play Express with Dave ‘Stickman’ Higgins. Musical activities with 'Stickman' using paper to make music. Find some paper - newspaper, A4 paper or tissue paper, a crayon, a wooden spoon and saucepans and play and jam together.

Wednesday 15th April at 11am - Rhythm Play Express - Sponge Play

Spark Arts present Rhythm Play Express with Dave 'Stickman' Higgins. Grab a sponge and a plate and sing, dance and jam along with Stickman. Feel free to share videos of response to this activity on the ARH Twitter page - uploaded by a responsible adult only. Have fun!

Rhythm Play Express - Sphere Play

Spark Arts present Rhythm Play Express with Dave 'Stickman' Higgins. For this journey of sound and rhythm, you will need 2 balls (preferbaly one yellow and one white, but don't worry if not), a stretch of ribbon, or something similar that can be swished around, a saucepan, washing up bowl and wooden spoon! Have fun!
