At ARH, we place a great importance on community and helping others. Giving is one of the '5 Ways to Wellbeing' and is important for our own wellbeing as well as being an excellent thing to do!
As a school, we give our children lots of opportunities to volunteer in school and encourage them to volunteer outside of school too. In school, they can be a Class Champion or a Terrific Transformer to help our school community.
Each half-term, two children across the school can win our coveted Kedzior Award for their volunteering outside of the school. This can be through helping at home, helping others or volunteering in the community.
We had three winners for the Kedzior Award; in Summer 1; we couldn't choose between their impressive efforts! Our Y4 pupils both raised money for Cancer Research by taking part in a mud run! Our Y5 pupil showed his best attitude by volunteering his time to supporting his Grandfather and neighbour. Such incredible work from all three.
