At ARH, we place a great importance on community and helping others. Giving is one of the '5 Ways to Wellbeing' and is important for our own wellbeing as well as being an excellent thing to do!
As a school, we give our children lots of opportunities to volunteer in school and encourage them to volunteer outside of school too. In school, they can be a Class Champion or a Terrific Transformer to help our school community.
Each half-term, two children across the school can win our coveted Kedzior Award for their volunteering outside of the school. This can be through helping at home, helping others or volunteering in the community.
We are incredibly proud of this half-term's winners who have really gone above and beyond to help their families and communities. Liam in Year 2 has been litter picking around our school and helping to make our local community a nicer environment for everyone to enjoy. Our Year 5 winner has been demonstrating his best attitude by helping out his family through chores and support. Well done to them both!
