At A.R.H., children are taught a balance of history knowledge and skills. Children learn how to be a 'historian' showing curiosity by asking perceptive questions about the past, thinking critically, weighing evidence, sifting arguments and developing perspective and judgements.

Children will be taught history focusing on some key themes such as chronology, empires and monarchy. As we have a multicultural school, our key history thread is ‘movement of people’. Children will be able to see and celebrate how cultures have been impacted by movement of people for many years and will be able to compare this to our school and city.
