By the time children leave ARH, they will have experienced a plethora of artists and artistic mediums with a degree of skill in these areas. Children will enjoy and value Art, showing engagement and cross-curricular links where suitable.

Teaching of Art is supporting children’s Oracy as the children discuss what they are doing and developing artistic vocabulary. This achieved through the project based approach to teaching Art lessons, which requires them to repeatedly use new artistic vocabulary. Art also safeguards children’s mental health and safety as it allows them to express themselves in a safe and supportive environment.

Art at ARH allows children to develop into creative, enthusiastic and imaginative individuals, which fits into the school vision.
