Latest news:

• Positive and Peaceful Places – The school are very excited to announce that we have achieved the Anti-Bullying Award of 'Positive and Peaceful Places' from Leicester City Council. The school have been working towards this award for some time now and the hard work of our School Council, Anti-Bullying Champions and staff has finally paid off. The inspector said that she always loved visiting our school as it is clear that everybody is working hard to nurture and enhance the safety, happiness and wellbeing of all of the pupils. We are incredibly proud to have achieved this award and the new addition to our letterhead; see the award picture here.
• Mary Poppins Performance – English Martyrs has an upcoming performance of Mary Poppins. They are hoping that lots of families from our local community can join them for the performance. Please see the poster here for further details.
• Football Coaching Course – Please see here for information regarding a football coaching course.
• Kedzior Award – We are continuing to encourage all children to volunteer and give back outside of school. This can include helping around the home, helping others or volunteering in the community. Pupils/parents can keep a log and send this information to Mrs Nanda or put it on Seesaw. Remember, volunteering is one of the five ways to wellbeing. Nominations for this term's Kedzior Award need to be in by Tuesday 5^th April. Thank you for the nominations which have already been sent in. Winners will receive a Headteacher's pick of the pot and a class treat of the winner's choice!

 

Upcoming dates:

• French Day – On Friday 8^th April we will be celebrating French Day. For more information please see here.
• Year 3 Skegness – The Year 3 Skegness visit is taking place on Tuesday 5^th April. Please see a copy of the letter here.
• Easter Holidays – The school will close for the Easter Holidays on Friday 8^th April at the end of the school day and will open on Monday 25^th April.

Reminders:

• ARH Easter Egg Hunt – The ARH Easter Egg Hunt starts on Monday 4^th April. Children will be sent home with all the details including how to enter and the prizes available on Monday. The final date and time for entry will be Thursday 7^th April at 4pm. All entries need to be handed in to the school office. Happy hunting!
• Chocolate spread and nuts – Please remember that all types of chocolate spread and nuts are not allowed in the school. Thank you.
• Lateness – Please can you ensure that your child arrives to school on time. Please see a letter about lateness here.
• Easter Holiday Activities – We have been informed of Easter Holiday activities for pupils who are eligible for Free School Meals. • Term Dates – Term dates have now been set for the school for the 2022-23 and the 2023-24 academic years. Please follow the links above to see them.
